In 1988, V2 was established as a small in home tutoring service to assist students having difficulties at school. The service grew quickly and over the years we have expanded, but our mission has fundamentally remained the same. We provide one-on-one Direct Instruction tutoring in core academic areas to students!
Since 1988, our goal has remained the same – to help students reach their achievement potential. Our tutors are highly trained Direct Instruction Specialists who possess the requisite knowledge and skills necessary to work with children and adolescents with a variety of learning needs.
We teach basic academic programs; including reading, math, language, comprehension, spelling, expressive writing, and cursive writing.
Program performance levels go from Kindergarten to Grade 8 (and beyond for poor readers).
All programs have accelerated sequences to meet individual needs.
Downolad pdfPrior to commencing any direct instruction program, students must be tested. These tests determine the program, level, and cycle the student should be placed at. For example, we offer 6 different reading programs.

Placement testing is done virtual. We do not repeat tests which have already been done. Should your child already have test results, please provide these, to assist in making the best possible program decisions.
Following the test, findings and programming decisions will be discussed with the family.
While the philosophies and most teaching techniques of all Direct Instruction programs are the same, the content of each program differs and is geared to a specific student’s profile. Additional information about the student, gained during the placement test, helps drive other critical program decision making.
